Ewa Piotrowska
DIRECTOR

Graduate of the National Aleksander Zelwerowicz Academy of Dramatic Arts in Warsaw, the Department of Puppetry and Theatre Arts in Bialystok, Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow and European Law Studies. Director of plays and radio plays, author of scripts and adaptations, lecturer.

E. Piotrowska has staged almost 50 theatre plays in Poland, Lithuania, Slovakia and Mexico. She lectured at the Department of Puppet in Bialystok and was the creative director of the "Maska" Theatre in Rzeszów. Since 2009 she is the head of the oldest Polish puppet theatre "Baj" in Warsaw. Ewa Piotrowska has twice been minister of culture prize laureate.

Her performances have been presented and awarded at dozens of international festivals. She is a laureate of the Order of the Smile for her work on behalf of children. In 2016 Ewa Piotrowska was awarded of the ZASP Puppet Theatre Section Award "Henrik" for her outstanding artistic achievements in the field of puppet theatre. In 2019, she was awarded a silver medal for cultural merit "Gloria Artis".
